Fine Art Foundations

This is not a typical art camp — it is focused foundation training in drawing and painting.

Our Camp for Teens is Here!

Ages 11–16 | All Supplies Included

A structured summer studio program for motivated young artists who want to build strong skills and create meaningful, portfolio-ready work. This program focuses on fine arts foundations, with each week dedicated to an in-depth exploration of a specific medium and its essential techniques.

Week 1: Charcoal Foundations - (07/06 - 07/10)
Students will focus on observational drawing using charcoal and related dry media. Instruction will emphasize value, shading, proportion, composition, mark-making, and contrast, helping artists develop strong drawing fundamentals and visual confidence.

Week 2: Pastel Techniques - (07/13 - 07/17)
Artists will explore soft and oil pastels while learning color theory, blending, layering, texture, and expressive use of color. This week builds on drawing skills while introducing richer surface work and controlled color application.

Week 3: Acrylic Painting - (07/20 - 07/27)
Students will dive into acrylic painting, focusing on brush techniques, color mixing, layering, composition, and developing finished works. Emphasis will be placed on translating drawing skills into paint while strengthening creative decision-making.

Throughout the program, students will receive guided instruction, individual feedback, and opportunities to refine their artistic voice in a focused, studio-style environment.
